How did my intuitive abilities shape my life?

People come to me for insight, which is why my company is called Clear Insight. As an intuitive and empath, I can “see” the issue, tell you what’s happening and why it’s happening and then together, we can put an action plan into place. I explain how to tap into your intuition, enabling you to make better decisions. I also help you identify your Soul Specialties™ and show you how to use them for a more balanced and successful life.

My first recollection of being aware of my intuitive ability was when I was under ten years old. I grew up during the 1980s in Wichita, KS, the daughter of a Lebanese immigrant and the youngest of four girls.

My mom had a sister who lived in Memphis with her family. They were such fun to be around, and I always looked forward to their visits. One day, Mom said, “Aunt Marlene may come to town this weekend!” I remember feeling pressure in my chest when hearing my mother’s words and then immediately saying to myself, “No, she isn’t”. The weekend came and she didn’t make the trip.

I remember thinking how strange it was that I knew that. How would I know? How should I know? I didn’t even question the information as it was so clear to me as the truth. I certainly didn’t tell anyone of my experience as I didn’t think it would make sense to others or they wouldn’t believe me. Intuition wasn’t a common word growing up or a concept at that time, and no one could guide me with this. However, at that moment, I knew that while the ability to do this was unconventional, I would use it to help people someday.

I was the person all my friends would come to for advice or comfort and somehow, I would know exactly what to say, what they needed to hear to bring peace and clarity. Yes, I did find it a little unusual, but I went with it and continued to help, as it seemed to be serving a positive purpose in my life.

Fast forward to my early 20s, which was in the early 90s. This is the era when all the “first wavers” came onto the scene with metaphysical and spiritual information, such as Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra and Marianne Williamson. The first book I read was The Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield. This book resonated with me as truth. It spoke to things that I had always questioned and was never satisfied with the answers. It basically started me on my quest of self-improvement, spirituality and an understanding of myself and my truth.

This is where I began to understand that this “knowing” was intuition. I learned that this was an aspect of me… my inner wisdom, the voice of the Divine Source working through me. This gift required reverence, humility, and responsibility. I also found that as you do the work to heal your fears, trauma and limiting beliefs, as you deepen your connection to Source, Spirit and your Higher Self, your gifts will grow and expand.

What led me to pursue this path professionally?

My practice includes a regular combination of meditation, prayer, energy work, sound healing and traditional therapeutic modalities. My mind is my biggest challenge in life and these modalities help me manage the chaos the monkey mind chatter creates and make a mess of things. I find that being more grounded in your body and centered in your heart means being more connected to Source and your inner wisdom. If fact, it means being more connected to all your Soul Specialties, a program that I teach to individuals and groups.

After a few different career paths, I decided that it was time to do what I was here to do, help people. I began my journey by signing up for a life coaching program, and from that point, my career took on a life of its own. Over the years, my work has continually evolved, shaped by new experiences and opportunities. I’ve learned to embrace the journey, letting my passions and instincts guide me wherever the flow leads.

I believe we are each our own guru and I intend to provide a variety of information to assist you on your journey, using your inner guidance and choosing what resonates with you to a more balanced and successful life.
